The following fitting install is not in accordance with manufacturer's manual. It is a common occurrence.
A different problem, with CPVC adapters. Glue in the threads:
Pictured below is a section of CPVC pipe with all threaded rod (ATR) touching the exterior of the pipe. Failure of the pipe may occur through vibration and abrading, installation/design error. Due to the concealed nature of this section of pipe, this item would not be identified during normal NFPA 25 inspection work.
Another ATR hanger impinging on CPVC pipe below? Not subject to NFPA 25 inspection due to scope limitation.
