Air Compressors

If I could make a suggestion, let's not install electrically driven air compressors (for a dry pipe system) on the floor co-located with a floor drain.


Below, a dry pipe air compressor feed is shown.  Fast fill lines are closed (normal mode), slow fill lines are open (normal mode):
The photo below shows an air line strainer removed from a pre-action system, debris is evident:

Below, an unlisted pressure gauge is shown on the air line leading to a pre-action valve:

The photo below shows a pressure gauge on the air supply line.  The gauge has an "X" on the face of the gauge.  Gauge is unlisted.

  2. Keep in mind that it may be a serious mistake to consider sizing your Compressed Air Piping Systems solely for current flow requirements, rather than planning for future additions.
